Southampton now lining up late bid to sign new £390k-p/y forward for Juric

An EFL star has been named as Southampton’s top target as they attempt to bolster their roster and are now seeking to sign a new forward before the transfer window ends.

Southampton improving under Juric

Southampton has clearly improved since Russell Martin was fired and Ivan Juric took over, but they haven’t produced the results to show it. The Saints are still at the bottom of the Premier League with only one victory overall and six points, none of which came under their new manager. Nevertheless, there have been encouraging signs, as the south coast team was clearly superior to Manchester United before losing to a late hat-trick from Amad Diallo to leave Old Trafford empty-handed.

They are still having trouble on both ends of the field; they have given up the second-most goals and scored the fewest goals in the Premier League this season, which will only hurt the St. Mary’s team.

The team has seen a lot of interest in top player Tyler Dibling this winter, and they will probably lose the gifted forward soon due to interest from Tottenham and other teams, since they are now probably committed to playing in the Championship the next season.

They are currently trying to raid the Championship once more in anticipation of their possible return to England’s second division, possibly in anticipation of that reality.

Southampton lining up move for Cardiff City star

Southampton is one of four teams attempting a last-minute bid to capture Cardiff City attacker Ollie Tanner this month, according to Football Insider.

Tanner’s versatility has allowed him to play on both sides of the attack, and he has already made an impression in England’s second division this season, recording two goals and two assists.

The fact that he has always been gifted—one former coach called him “special” and “the best I ever worked with”—tempted Tottenham to make a bid to sign him, but Cardiff outbid them.

And according to reports, Leeds United, Burnley, Southampton, and Leicester are all after the 22-year-old as they prepare a last-minute move for him because of his performances this season.

Omer Riza, the manager of Cardiff, downplayed the connections when questioned, saying: “No. One of our young lads, Ollie, is doing incredibly well. He is performing well, and we need him just as much as we need every other player on our team. He is solely focused on performing his duties at Cardiff.

Although a number of teams are eager to try, Southampton seems to be one of them. Additionally, with two and a half years remaining on his £7,500 per week contract in Wales, any move looks difficult at this late point, with Cardiff also aiming to stave off relegation themselves.
