Leeds United is delighted by Ange Postecoglou’s one-word response.

Despite Tottenham Hotspur’s injury problems, manager Ange Postecoglou has ruled out a recall for Leeds United loanee Manor Solomon during this month’s transfer window.
Postecoglou thought he had adequate depth, so Spurs approved summer loans for Solomon and fellow winger Bryan Gil.

Since recovering from his hamstring injury in October, Solomon has been a standout player for Leeds, scoring four goals and providing four assists in the league.

Gil, who has made 25 appearances in all competitions during his three loan stints at Tottenham, is enjoying regular action at Girona.

The most recent addition to Tottenham’s injury list this season is forward Dominic Solanke, who sustained a knee injury before to their Europa League match against Hoffenheim on Thursday.

Postecoglou might have found it appealing to bring back Solomon from Leeds in particular, but Daniel Farke’s hopes of promotion would have suffered a serious setback.

However, the Spurs manager has allayed any concerns that may have persisted around Elland Road with a single statement.

During a press conference, Postecoglou responded, “No,” when asked if Tottenham is thinking about recalling Gil and Solomon.

Rather of extending Solomon or Gil’s loan, Tottenham is probably going to keep promising forward Will Lankshear at the club.
