Exclusive: Wolves dressing room mutiny: ‘Manager raging after Cunha and Lemina latest’.

Wolves may face a dressing room mutiny if Matheus Cunha and Mario Lemina’s futures are not resolved.

Former Tottenham custodian Paul Robinson highlighted on the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that there are “obviously issues” that Vitor Pereira needs to address so that the team can return to trying to stay in the Premier League. Wolves are presently 17th in the table, but Pereira has been dealing with off-field concerns since Lemina disclosed his desire to leave the club, while Cunha has stalled his own contract negotiations. Lemina was deprived of his captaincy earlier this season due to an on-field disagreement with Jarrod Bowen, while Cunha was embroiled in his own controversy after a confrontation with an Ipswich coach.

Cunha is currently the center of a transfer battle between Arsenal and Nottingham Forest as both clubs are aiming to sign him, but Robinson believes his departure could have a significant impact on their chances of survival.

Vitor Pereira must solve Wolves’ ongoing issues

“[It] could be the difference between them staying up and getting relegated,” Robinson told Football Insider. “Cunha has made that much of an influence. “They’ll struggle without him, but his mentality, application, and drive must be there; we saw it towards the conclusion of Gary O’Neill’s time with Wolves. “The discipline was sliding, there was a lot of dressing room turmoil, and you expected things to improve with Vitor Pereira’s arrival. “But, actually, with Lemina saying that he wants to leave the club, Cunha, you know, hung him out to dry in public, didn’t he?” “He stated that is not what he expects from his captain.

“That’s not the body language, not what he wants to see from his captain.

“So there are certainly concerns there that the manager believes he wants to address, whether internally or openly. “If he’s going to be a problem between now and end of the season, you cash in and you give the manager the money to go and get the better players and strengthen the squad in all areas.”
