Alexis Mac Allister reacted to Aston Villa custodian Emi Martinez’s social media post.
The Argentine custodian won the Premier League save of the month award for his spectacular save [Aston Villa] against Nottingham Forest on December 14. Martinez made the save with the score at 0-0 on the hour mark, as Nicolas Dominguez connected from a Gibbs-White flick-on, and the Yashin Trophy winner leaped wonderfully to his left to clear the ball off the line. Jhon Duran would score just three minutes later, putting the Midlands ahead with a header off a John McGinn pass. Despite Martinez’s heroics, Forest managed to score twice late on through Nikola Milenkovic and Anthony Elanga, stealing all three points.
