Blackburn intensify contact as player ‘wants to try luck’ in England: Rovers make first offer

According to a rumour from yesterday, Blackburn Rovers are currently making an attempt to recruit Augustus Kargbo, a striker for Cesena.

The Italian media is becoming increasingly adamant about the possible transfer, and the move now appears to be picking up speed.

According to a rumour published today by Corriere Romagna, Kargbo will depart the Italian team before to the conclusion of the current January transfer window.

He currently “wants to try his luck” in England, which suggests that the Sierra Leonean international is considering a move to Blackburn Rovers.

The Championship club tried to bring the player to Ewood Park in the summer and scouted him during the most recent Serie B match against Cittadella. They have already contacted him to sign him.

Although Blackburn Rovers has offered €800k, it doesn’t look like enough to seal the deal. Since Kargbo did not play in their most recent match against Sampdoria, Cesena is currently seeking to sell him for about €1 million.

According to the article, Cesena wants some time to finalise the move, therefore the Lancashire club must do it by January 31.
