£13 million Leicester star is now expected to leave following Van Nistelrooy’s outburst

According to a startling new claim, a Leicester City player is expected to leave the King Power before the January transfer window closes due to a falling out with head coach Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

Leicester is a struggling club.
It’s reasonable to assume that Leicester City is going through a crisis right now. Under Van Nistelrooy, they have dropped seven straight Premier League games, are in the relegation zone, and have only made one acquisition in the more than three weeks since the January transfer market opened.

Though money is still expected to be tight in the Midlands, the club has since avoided sanctions and may look to strengthen in the final days of the transfer window. According to the Athletic, “concerns over breaching profitability and sustainability rules (PSR) linger and have hampered Leicester’s planning” for the January market.

Van Nistelrooy is the subject of an additional problem. According to reports, “part of his negotiations before agreeing to take over from Steve Cooper just 12 games into the season was that there would be funds available in this window” .
That hasn’t happened yet, as the Foxes are now woefully short in attack and have only signed Woyo Coulibaly this winter.

Conversely, following a successful loan stint at Stoke City, they sold Tom Cannon to Sheffield United. However, after a shocking altercation with the Dutch head coach, they may have to make another sell before the conclusion of the window.

As the Leicester star is about to leave, shock
According to a story from the Telegraph, the player in question is Caleb Okoli, a summer addition. Only six months after joining from Atalanta, the Italian center-back has played just 48 minutes under Van Nistelrooy and has not yet started a match for the Dutchman.

Okoli, who was hailed as a “really good” ball player who “looked like the real deal” during their Carabao Cup victory against Tranmere Rovers in August, has not lived up to expectations and is now expected to go due to a new development.

That’s because he and Van Nistelrooy got into a heated argument after his team lost to Fulham 2-0. The Telegraph claims that “his choice of football boots” caused “Van Nistelrooy to turn on Okoli,” implying that “they made him slip over frequently.”

Okoli was “stunned” by this and “demanded a meeting with Rudkin” after being deployed as a replacement in the Cottagers’ loss. As a result, he now seems “certain” to depart this month before the deadline.
If Okoli has determined that his future is outside of the King Power Stadium, a loan might be the best course of action for the Foxes. He was signed for £13 million only months ago, and Leicester is unlikely to be able to recover that cost if they sell now.
