A manhunt has begun after a woman was killed in what is being described as a ‘targeted attack’. Police were called to a residence in Luton shortly before lunchtime on Monday after receiving allegations of an incident. One woman, aged 46, died in the hospital.
Another person in her twenties was harmed in the incident. Detectives have provided a photograph of Jacob Clark, 25, from Luton, coupled with a CCTV still captured near the incident on Turners Road North.
Detective Inspector Adam Bridges of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: “We are currently conducting numerous lines of investigation in relation to this murder.”
We are specifically looking for Jacob Clark, who is from Luton. ‘We understand Jacob has tight cropped hair, which may cause him to appear different than in the photos provided. ‘We have also released a CCTV still from near the area of the event.
The first image claimed to be of Mr Clark depicts a man with long hair wearing a dark, patterned bandana. In the photo taken near the incident, a man is seen strolling along a trail wearing a black jacket with the hood up and dark jeans.
Detectives earlier stated that they are looking for a white man in his twenties who was spotted fleeing the location during the incident. He was reported as being between 5ft 9in and 5ft 10in tall, of extremely skinny form, with a shaven head, and dressed all in black with a hood.
The suspect fled the scene on a black and red electric scooter, which was later found by police.
DI Bridges stated: ‘This is a murder investigation, so anyone who knows where Jacob is should call police immediately.
‘If you suspect you have spotted him, please do not approach him and call 999 immediately.
‘I would like to remind the public that we are considering this as a targeted attack, and we are maintaining a significant police presence.
