John Eustace has stated that Blackburn Rovers have begun a bid to sign a player, while Kyle McFadzean has spoken with another club about leaving.
Rovers are still looking for a striker and a left winger as priority signings. While Eustace could not confirm whether things were moving in the right direction, he did say that a bid for a player had been made.
“I’m not sure actually. I know the club is working hard, and that’s all I can ask for; perhaps, we’ll be able to bring in some fresh faces sooner rather than later,” Eustace remarked.
“I believe we are all on the same page. I believe that eventually, the group that we’ve had has been terrific.
“Everyone involved with the football club, as I’ve already stated, the supporters, the players, and the staff, we want to bring in top talent to help the push, and that is what we want, and hopefully we can do so.
“I believe there has been a bid for one player. I’m not sure how that worked out, but I don’t know what else.
“The sooner you can bring the players in, the better. Obviously, when O-Chan is hurt, it increases the pressure to bring in a forward player.
I know the club is trying hard to get the appropriate players in, so maybe we can get it resolved. It does not concern me (the club’s recent record).
“I know the club is working hard to get the proper players in, so I believe it’s pretty clear that we need to strengthen the team and the roster. “That’s what everyone is waiting for.”
The Lancashire Telegraph earlier suggested that Chesterfield are the favourites to sign the veteran defender.
That is still believed to be the case, and Eustace stated that he will meet with another team within the next 48 hours. He has not participated in the last two teams owing to illness, but will now meet with the Spireities.
As a result, it’s quite likely that he’s played his final game for Rovers. “Fadz has come in today and there’s an opportunity for him to move on as well,” Eustace informed us. “Fadz hasn’t been feeling well since the end of last week, and there were reports over the weekend that a team was interested in signing him.
“So, I believe he’ll be speaking with that team today or tomorrow. So yes, there will be some little expenses. I am not sure whether it will be a loan or a permanent arrangement between the two clubs.
“He is a terrific professional. Most importantly, he is a terrific person. It was critical that we re-signed him in the summer.
“I believe you can see the impact he has had on the entire group while he has been in the building. This season, he has done an excellent job off the pitch.
“It’s been a trying moment for him since the two central defenders have performed so brilliantly. But he’s really helped them, and he’s also helped the younger boys. He is someone I greatly respect and admire.
“I believed he might have gotten a couple extra games. However, as previously stated, the central defenders have performed admirably. He’s someone I really wanted to keep in the group.
But, you know, it’s football. Jake Garrett and Connor O’Riordan are also slated to go out on loan before the end of the month. According to Eustace, negotiations to depart Ewood Park are nearing completion.
“Yes, those two will go out on loan again. I believe they are nearing completion on a handful of deals. It’s critical that they get their minutes for their development.
