TRANSFER NEWS” Ipswich Town: Ashley Boatswain joins AFC Fylde on loan.
Ashley Boatswain, a teenage forward at Ipswich Town, has joined AFC Fylde on loan for the duration of the 2024/25 season. The 19-year-old has been with the club since the age of 11, rising through the ranks to become a fixture for the Blues’ U21s team under John McGreal. Boatswain has previously played on loan at Bury Town and Leiston, as well as earning his first full international cap for Montserrat. He now joins the Coasters, who are guided by Kevin Phillips, a former Premier League forward who was named head coach at Mill Farm in October of last year.
The youth player made his fifth-tier debut as a half-time substitute in the team’s 4-1 loss to Maidenhead United this evening.
