Player travels to join West Bromwich Albion permanently – Medical and official announcement pending

West Bromwich Albion have made progress in their pursuit of Standard Liège’s Isaac Price in the winter market, according to multiple claims from Belgium.

Monday’s edition of Het Belang van Limburg claims the 21-year-old has played his last fixture for the Belgian club and will travel to England on Monday to join West Brom.

Price joined the Jupiler Pro League side on a free transfer in 2023, after spending over a decade at Everton.

He’ll return to England to join the Baggies on a permanent deal and the newspaper states the fee will be just over €2m.

La Dernière Heure also cover the Championship side’s interest in the midfielder and their title says he is ‘on his way’ to West Brom. Within the report, it’s claimed the negotiations between the two clubs has already reached the final stage.

Price started in his side’s 2-1 win over Sint-Truiden on Sunday, but he’s ‘about to leave’ them for the English club for over €2m. He’s been a regular at Standard Liège, making 63 appearances in all competitions of which 24 are from this season.

The Englishman’s medical tests and official announcement in pending before completing a permanent move to West Brom.
