BOSS ON WEEK AHEAD
Kieran McKenna says Town must show ‘incredible character’ on the training pitch then away to Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday. Following a home defeat against champions Manchester City, the Blues will look to regroup at Playford Road before travelling up to Anfield to face Arne Slot’s Reds at the weekend. Liverpool occupy pole position in the Premier League table. “We’ll get a good few days training this week which will be beneficial,” Kieran, speaking after three home games in seven days, said.
“That will include players who are coming back from injury and players who are new to the Club. After Liverpool we have another week until we play Southampton at Portman Road. “From a physical point of view we still have a challenging few weeks ahead, but I think if we keep doing the right things, if we stick together as a group and if we work well, we can be in a strong position to attack the rest of the season. “We’ve got Liverpool away next which is another massive challenge. We need to show an incredible amount of character this week at the training ground and then when we go to Anfield. That’s exactly what we’re going to try and do.”
