Sky Sports: Brighton’s Ben Jackson heads to Queens Park on loan.
Albion defender Ben Jackson aims to showcase his abilities at Hampden Park for the remainder of the season. The centre-back has joined Queens Park on loan for the rest of the season. He has been recalled from his loan with Scottish Championship club Livingston and will now join Queens Park, who play their home games at Hampden. Jackson, 21, did not make it into the Livingston lineup as they seek promotion.
His only appearance was as a second-half replacement in the Scottish FA Cup. He now drops two places in the table to join Queens Park, who are doing well and currently sit sixth. Albion technical director David Weir stated, “Ben hasn’t played as much as we would have liked in the first half of the season. “This fresh start with Queens Park means he can have a positive second half of the campaign.” Jackson has advanced through the Albion under-18s and under-21s after formerly been with the Watford academy.
He was a member of the 21s’ squad that knocked Reading’s senior squad out of the EFL Trophy, and he has also played for Albion’s first team. Before moving to Livingston, he signed a new contract with the Seagulls. He is under contract until the end of the season, with the club retaining an option for an additional year.
