Protest planned for Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday TV game as plan revealed

At Elland Road, Sheffield Wednesday supporters will demonstrate.

Before Sheffield Wednesday’s match against Leeds United tomorrow, a group of supporters has declared their

intention to hold a protest inside Elland Road. Supporters of the Owls intend to demonstrate against club owner

Dejphon Chansiri and demand that he sell the team.

In a heated fans discussion with Sheffield Wednesday supporters on Wednesday night, Chansiri disclosed that he

hadn’t spoken to manager Danny Rohl since last month, that he had no intention of making any moves during the

transfer window, and that he was retaliating against the vitriol that had been directed at him.

The 1867 Group, an independent fan group that claims to be focused on ending the existing ownership, has called on Chansiri to sell up and asked fans to gather leaflets prior to the game, indicating that the forum has only served to incite fan resentment towards the owner.

First come, first served, we’ll be handing out the flyer outside Elland Road on Sunday before start, they stated on X.

Chansiri was there, and the game was on Sky and ITV, so it was the perfect opportunity. The flyer protest was the

same from team entry to kickoff. Instead of supporting the government, support the team. If you want to sell the

club, Dejphon Chansiri.

Now, fans will express their emotions throughout the televised match. Leeds wants to start the new week atop the

Championship table, while the Owls aim to maintain their chances of earning a play-off berth with a strong showing

at Elland Road.
