Daniel Farke must find space in Leeds United XI to unleash recently-snubbed star vs. Sheff Wed – View

A week ago, Leeds United winger Larsi Ramazani was selected to start against Harrogate Town at home. He took a

chance with an impressive performance and the game-winning goal in the second half.

After squandering points from winning positions in their last two league games, the Whites seek their first league

victory of 2025 when they play Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road tomorrow afternoon.

Following the victory over Harrogate Town last time out, Daniel Farke has a lot of selection difficulties to consider up

and down his team.

Largie Ramazani impresses in start v Harrogate

Last weekend, League Two Harrogate Town showed up at Elland Road for what was perhaps the biggest game in

their club’s history, raising the possibility of an FA Cup upset.

But Leeds secured a 1-0 victory at home with another shutout, and Largie Ramazani, who perhaps deserved it more

than anybody else, scored the game-winning goal.

Ghosting in late into the box as Mateo Joseph dragged two defenders out of position, the Belgian winger nodded in a

free header to see Leeds take the lead, latching into a brilliant Manor Solomon cross.

It was one of three shots on target from Ramazani at Elland Road in a very commanding attacking display where he

was at the thick of most that Leeds looked to build in the final third, on either wing or through the middle.

Largie Ramazani has to start for Leeds in some capacity

Such is the strength in depth for Farke and Leeds that a player of Ramazani’s quality hasn’t been the first name on

the team sheet since joining, which would be the case for 95% of the division elsewhere.

Naturally, part of the reason is that Ramazani is back from a long-term ankle injury, but last weekend at Elland
Road, he served as a stark reminder of Leeds’ talent.

Although rotation from the team that drew against Hull City was unavoidable, Farke should be reminded that he

needs to find a way to start Ramazani more frequently after he came in and put on a performance like that, even
against fourth-tier opponents.

Farke owes it to Ramazani to reward him for being the greatest player on the pitch, but it comes with the difficult

choice of who would replace Solomon—Dan James or Brenden Aaronson.
