Everton owners in ‘advanced talks’ to sign star choosing between Goodison & Roma

Owners of Everton According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, the Friedkin Group is in “advanced talks” to sign Devyne Rensch during the January transfer window. They currently intend to purchase the right-back for their other club, Roma, according to senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke, who made this revelation on the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast. Despite Everton’s interest, the 21-year-old is expected to be sent to the Friedkin Group, which also owns the Serie A team.

Although Roma is in advanced talks with Rensch, the Merseyside powerhouses have been keeping an eye on him as well. Given that Rensch’s contract is nearing the end of its last six months and that this is their last chance to cash in, Ajax is willing to sell him in January. With 25 appearances in all competitions this season, the Netherlands international has maintained his place in the Ajax starting lineup.

Everton wishes to improve in this section of the field.

Football Insider has been informed by reliable sources that Everton is looking to add a right-back, but the decision regarding who actually needs the player will be made internally. Both clubs owned by the Friedkin Group have made offers to Resch, and he must decide for himself where he wants to play going forward.A move to a more stable Serie A team might be more alluring for the right-back because Everton might be in a relegation battle this season. After 20 games, Everton is currently in 16th place in the Premier League standings, with only one point separating them from relegation. When they play Tottenham on Sunday, January 19, David Moyes will be back in the Goodison Park home dugout for the first time since rejoining the team.
