An Edinburgh resident captured the moment a Range Rover blocked the tram line triggering tailbacks on Leith Walk. Around 11.45am on January 17, the vehicle halted on the tracks blocking traffic for “over half an hour.” According to X, Edinburgh Trams confirmed services were impacted and were only running between Edinburgh Airport and Balfour Street.
According to a resident, Leith Walk has been blocked for half an hour due to a parking issue. Traffic has backed up to the top of the walk. Edinburgh Trams previously stated that trams are only running between Edinburgh Airport and Balfour Street due to a vehicle blocking the track near Balfour Street. Lothian Buses has a ticket acceptance system in place.
