Hoffenheim manager makes serious decision on Mergim Berisha with Leeds United heavily linked
One player on Leeds United’s wishlist has been left out of his squad in their previous two games, and the club is
apparently interested in bringing a striker to Elland Road in the upcoming weeks.
Daniel Farke has stated that he anticipates a quiet window, but he did make a suggestion last week that he would like
a striker. Patrick Bamford is still out due to injury, but Joe Gelhardt has joined Hull City.
With just two strikers up top, Farke and Leeds will face Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday. However, it makes sense
that Farke could wish to add a striker prior to the deadline of February 3.
Louie Barry, Dor Turgeman, and most recently, Emmanuel Latte Lath of Middlesbrough, have all been linked to a
move to Leeds; however, it looks like Mateusz Klich’s new team will sign Latte Lath.

Mergim Berisha not involved in Hoffenheim’s last two squads
Hoffenheim paid £11.6 million to buy Mergim Berisha after he contributed to 13 goals in 26 Augsburg games.
However, the Germany star sustained an ACL injury seven games into his 2023–24 Hoffenheim stint.
Since then, Berisha has made 17 appearances this season but has only managed one goal.Berisha has even switched
agencies in an attempt to achieve a January departure, and Leeds has been linked to a move for her this month.
Although the German team would take offers of £5.8 million for Berisha, which is half of their original investment,
Hoffenheim is eager to loan him out. Berisha has not been included in Hoffenheim’s matchday squads for the past
two days because to Leeds connections.
Having come on against Farke’s old side Gladbach on December 21, Berisha was not involved against Wolfsburg on
January 11 and then last night there was no sign of Berisha in a 5-0 loss to Bayern Munich.

Mergim Berisha knows three players on Leeds United’s books well
Berisha, a former Leeds teammate of three players, played for RedBull Salzburg under Jesse Marsch. Rasmus
Kristensen, who is now making an impression while on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, is one of them.
Berisha’s past teammates include Brenden Aaronson and Max Wober. Together, the two players scored four goals
and contributed to the championship victory during the six months that Berisha and Aaronson shared a changing
room.
Even though the Evening Post claims that Leeds’ interest in Berisha is now only a hearsay, it is understandable why
the Whites could be thinking about making a bid, particularly now that Gelhardt’s departure from Leeds has been
announced.
