Car overturns in crash on Darwen country highway

A car was left flipped after colliding on a remote route. At around 2 p.m. today, police and ambulance workers responded to a collision involving a silver Ford Fiesta near the Black Bull bar in Darwen.

The driver, a woman in her twenties, had minor injuries and was brought to Royal Blackburn Hospital. There were no further injuries reported in the crash on Broken Stone Road in Darwen.

An ambulance spokeswoman stated, “We were called to a collision on Broken Stone Road at 2.02pm.”

“There was only one car involved.” We dispatched a fast response vehicle and an ambulance.

“One patient, a woman in her 20s, was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.”

A police spokeswoman confirmed that no one had been apprehended. A police spokeswoman said:

“We were called to Broken Stone Road in Darwen at 2.10pm.

“A Ford Fiesta was found overturned on the highway.”
