Southampton have officially announced that chairman Henrik Kraft has resigned from his role. From now on, the owner Mr. Dragan Solak will oversee the chairman position.

Currently, Southampton FC are in a tremendous mess. We’ve reached the middle of January and there have been no signings to strengthen the senior squad.
Furthermore, several players are worried about their long-term futures at Southampton. In addition, the club’s management has undergone significant changes.

Southampton recently revealed that chairman Henrik Kraft has resigned down.
A hierarchical adjustment in the boardroom is not shocking. What’s more troubling is that the Saints wasted half of the transfer window on this decision.

According to the club statement, Kraft was in control of Southampton’s sporting activities. As a result, it is reasonable to believe that he had a significant influence over transfer-related choices.

One that saw the Saints earn over €200 million in player sales despite being relegated.

That vision, regrettably, is now gone. The club statement also noted that the owner Mr. Dragan Solak has presently taken the chairman’s responsibilities as well.

People believe that change isn’t always welcomed, but it can lead to something greater. Similarly, Kraft’s exit could signal the beginning of a far larger effort at Southampton.

The Saints have appeared much too lethargic in their approach to the January transfer window, which must change immediately. First of all, Southampton has one of the greatest squad sizes among the Premier League clubs.

According to Transfermarkt, the Saints presently have 33 players on the roster.

Choosing a lineup from this massive roster is more stressful than flexible for any manager. As a result, Southampton should recognize that their squad is far too large.

When you look closely, you’ll notice that several of the players haven’t played much in their recent matches. So, a better approach would be to sell them or determine their future with the club by the end of the season.

In terms of new January signings, the club should first complete certain exits before making a decision to buy a player. If possible, Southampton should try to sign at least one player from these three.
