West Brom slammed by Don Goodman for manager oversight.
Don Goodman says it “is not a good look” for West Brom after it was revealed Raphael Wicky’s proposed move to The Hawthorns has collapsed.
Albion were struck a severe blow on Monday (13 January) when it was revealed that talks for Wicky’s intended appointment had collapsed[John Percy], despite him flying in for talks last week. The reason for the breakdown is believed to be the backroom staff’s failure to secure a visa [DOOD], and Goodman, speaking exclusively to West Brom News, has criticised the club for a serious omission. “It’s a huge blow and it’s not a good look for West Brom,” Goodman said. “They had narrowed it down, and it was clear to the public that [Wicky] was the first choice. Ultimately, confirming work permits should have been part of the interview process before hiring him.”
