West Brom told chances of Sean Dyche hire after latest Hawthorns twist

West Brom told chances of Sean Dyche hire after latest Hawthorns twist.

Don Goodman believes West Brom are not attractive enough to get Sean Dyche to take over as manager at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies were left stunned when a contract for Raphael Wicky to become the new manager fell through [John Percy] due to his backroom staff’s inability to secure a visa. The revelation leaves the Baggies still looking for Carlos Corberan’s replacement, with Dyche being approached by the play-off contenders [DOOD], but Goodman, speaking exclusively to West Brom revelation, does not see it happening. “The problem with Dyche, are West Brom attractive enough for someone as well-established as him?” Goodman stated. “I’m not too sure. Dyche, if he did drop into the Championship, would most likely be looking at a squad capable of competing for automatic promotion, which West Brom aren’t at the present.

“Dyche will probably be looking for assurances on finances and I’m just not sure how attractive they are.

West Brom need to be realistic in their manager search

Dyche, who has recently been fired from a Premier League job, appears to be an unlikely candidate to descend into the Championship to join a team chasing the play-offs. That, combined with the fact that he is expected to command a high salary, makes it appear as if the Baggies are out of luck, but weirder things have happened.

There is little doubt that Dyche would do a fantastic job at The Hawthorns, but football would undoubtedly become a difficult watch considering his experience at Everton and Burnley. If the Baggies pursue a move for Dyche, it could be a waste of time, since it appears to be an entirely implausible appointment.
