Former Reading manager Ruben Selles has described his successor, Noel Hunt, as ‘extraordinary.’ The Spaniard left to join Championship strugglers Hull City last month, leaving fans devastated after forming a deep bond amid challenging off-field conditions. However, the Royals continue to confound the naysayers and battle for promotion, sitting sixth at the midway mark of the campaign.

I became a manager in that setting, and I will alwaysbe thankful for that. There are moments in life where you need to make decisions, and I saw that as a moment to make a change.
