Another player now set for Aston Villa medical along with Donyell Malen after £6.7m fee agreed

After a £6.7 million cost was agreed upon, another player and Donyell Malen are now scheduled for an Aston Villa medical.

The first player Aston Villa will sign during the winter transfer window will soon be announced.

Borussia Dortmund has agreed to pay £22 million for Donyell Malen, who will have a physical with Aston Villa in the next few hours.

Prior to the Netherlands international’s transfer to Villa Park, the German powerhouses have already declared that he will not be included in the squad for Tuesday’s Bundesliga match against Holstein Kiel.

After reaching an agreement with Kasimpasa for Yasin Ozcan, Turkish writer Yakup Çınar claims that Aston Villa is now on the verge of making another acquisition.

Yasin Ozcan’s £6.7 million Aston Villa strike deal

Çınar has recently revealed on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Aston Villa and Kasimpasa have reached an agreement for the 18-year-old to pay €8 million (£6.7 million).

Before completing his deal, Ozcan is rumored to have a physical with Aston Villa on Tuesday. He will then spend the rest of the 2024–25 season on loan at Kasimpasa until Unai Emery can officially welcome him in the summer.

As of this writing, Kasimpasa is in 12th place in the Süper Lig after the center defender made 17 appearances thus far this season and contributed one assist.

Yasin Ozcan received a Golden Boy Award nomination. Ozcan is a gifted player that Liverpool was interested in signing last summer.

Even the 2024 Golden Boy Award, which is granted to the greatest U21 player in Europe’s top leagues, had the adolescent as a nominee.

The fact that Ozcan was nominated for his efforts in the Super Lig speaks volumes because previously, some of the greatest players to ever play the game, like Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, and Jude Bellingham, have won the Golden Boy award.

Hopefully, the phenomenon from Istanbul can have a successful 2024–25 season while on loan at Kasimpasa and return to Villa Park prepared to contend for a starting position under Emery this summer.
