Man arrested after crashing into three cars during police chase in Norwich

During a police pursuit, three automobiles were damaged, leading to the arrest of a man in his 20s.

He was detained for driving dangerously, failing to stop, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance. The individual is still in detention.

The car was stopped by police at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Norwich Road in Stoke Holy Cross.

Instead, the driver sped off without stopping.

The pursuit lasted for approximately an hour, with police following.

At Portersfield Road, the male in his 20s was ultimately taken into custody by officers.

During the 5-mile chase on Monday, four vehicles were damaged.

The motorist, who was already barred from driving, collided with a van and three parked cars.

The cars were parked near the intersection of Lincoln Street and Portersfield Road.

One vehicle on Lincoln Street had its wing mirror knocked off and had severe scratches down the driver’s side. The road was littered with debris from the collision.

A automobile parked on the opposite side of the street was similarly damaged, with a dent in the driver’s side front corner, a few meters further down the street.

There was minimal damage to the front corner of a third car that was parked on the far side of Portersfield Road, close to the intersection with Lincoln Street.

This third vehicle had collided with a white Ford van that was damaged on the driver’s side, leaving the front headlight dangling.

One homeowner on Lincoln Street claimed that when she looked down the street to see what had happened after learning about the event, “it was all blue lights.”

“It’s a very quiet street,” she continued. Cats howl at one another occasionally, but not like this. Just yelling cats and unruly students.

Shortly around 12.30am, the cops departed the site after removing the van.
