The Washington Commanders completed their final full practice of the week before heading to Tampa Bay tomorrow. They play the Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football, and head coach Dan Quinn has announced the playoff captains. Players voted, and five team captains were chosen, with Redskins icon Doug Williams serving as honorary captain throughout the team’s playoff run.
Quinn provided excellent injury updates on numerous players, including Marshon Lattimore, who will be ready to play on Sunday. He’ll rekindle his battle with Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans. Quinn believes that having players like Lattimore, Jonathan Allen, and Austin Ekeler back for the playoffs may have a significant influence. Frankie Luvu and John Bates are both struggling with shoulder problems and wore non-contact jerseys today. Quinn explained that this was a preventive measure to protect them from themselves. They are both fine to go for Sunday.
