Sky Sports Fascinating twist as Everton could provide West Ham late problems in their Graham Potter pursuit.
Everton have formed a managerial appointment triangle with West Ham United and Graham Potter.
The Friedkin Group must make a critical decision on whether Sean Dyche is the appropriate guy to lead the club forward. Dyche feels the Friedkins are behind him at Everton, but their trust will only go so far, with outcomes that leave much to be desired. Everton have lost their previous two Premier League games and won only one of their last eleven. The Toffees’ terrible run sees them lying just above the relegation zone, prompting some Everton fans to urge a management change. However, recruiting Potter may get increasingly harder as the hours pass.
Everton remain interested in Graham Potter
With Dyche failing to improve the results on Merseyside, Everton have expressed an interest in signing Potter as a successor. However, it appears that a deal between the 49-year-old and West Ham is imminent. Senior writer Rob Dorsett told Sky Sports News that Everton’s interest remained in the background. “Even though they’ve still got a manager in Sean Dyche, their interest remains in the background, I understand,” he told Sky Sports at the time. “But as things stand, things are progressing between West Ham and Graham Potter and all the indications are Potter will be the next West Ham manager.” Everton have already spoken with other managerial prospects, with Potter now expected to join the Hammers.
But the Toffees need to make a decision on whether they want to progress with Dyche at the helm and risk the results not improving as they haven’t of late.
