Sky Sports Everton identify brand new manger target who Pep Guardiola says is ‘one of the best’.
Everton have already lost out to West Ham United in the race to hire Graham Potter as their new manager.
Sean Dyche remains in the Goodison Park dugout for the time being, despite his status at the club being under intense examination. Everton’s results have been insufficient, with the club struggling to pull away from the relegation zone.

However, following their takeover of Merseyside last month, The Friedkin Group is providing Dyche with an opportunity to turn things around there. As the new owners continue to do an internal examination of the club, they are looking into prospective replacements for Dyche if they believe the results are not improving.
Everton eyeing Brentford’s Thomas Frank as Sean Dyche successor
With Dyche’s job at the club in doubt, The Friedkin Group has identified Potter as a potential alternative. The 49-year-old has now moved to West Ham, leaving the Friedkins to consider other possibilities. According to Team Talk, Thomas Frank of Brentford is one of the managers on the American owners’ radar. According to their sources, The Friedkin Group admired the Danish manager when they arrived on Merseyside. However, attempting to lure Frank away from a Brentford side that has shone once again this season would be a bold move.

Frank isn’t the only manager on their radar; Everton is also looking into Sir Gareth Southgate. For the time being, it appears that Dyche will be given the opportunity to score points at Goodison Park. In September, Guardiola said that it is only a matter of time before Frank manages a bigger team. “They are an extraordinary team,” he added. “Every corner causes a headache. They are compact. This season, they have a lot of press. Thomas is among the best.”
“It is just a question of time [until he joins a bigger club]. I’m good in a few things, one of which is reading when the manager is good. It is going to happen.”
