Loic Tanzi claims that Diego Carlos, a defender for Aston Villa, is getting closer to leaving Villa Park during the January transfer window.
Kaveh Solhekol, a journalist for Sky Sports, stated earlier this week that Fenerbahce is prepared to spend around £10 million to get the 31-year-old defender this month.
The journalist for L’Equipe has now revealed via X that the Turkish powerhouses have assumed the “most advanced lead” in their pursuit of Carlos, who is currently earning £100k per week.
Carlos’ injury to Pau Torres made Villa initially hesitant to trade him, but it looks like Fenerbahce’s offer is too good for them to refuse.
Tanzi commented, “Aston Villa’s Diego Carlos is currently Fenerbahçe’s most advanced lead, not Danso.”
This season, the Brazilian defender has made eight Premier League starts, with two more coming off the bench.
