3 midfielders Blackburn Rovers must target this January amid Lewis Baker development
Lewis Baker, who was on loan from Stoke City, was called back, leaving Blackburn Rovers without another midfield alternative.
Blackburn Rovers’ midfield duo of Lewis Travis and Sondre Tronstad has been essential to their success thus far this season.
But Travis has been injured, thus Lewis Baker, a loan player, has been added to the team. The Potters have now decided to call up the midfield player to play in the second part of their season, though, because Mark Robins has taken over at parent club Stoke City.
John Eustace is left with few midfield alternatives as a result of that and Travis’ injury. Following his recall from Bristol Rovers, Jake Garrett is anticipated to be loaned once more, leaving only John Buckley and Tronstad as midfield possibilities. Joe Rankin-Costello can also play right back.

When the 23-year-old Spaniard’s contract expires in 2025, his asking price might drop. After spending a large portion of his career in the second division, he has four goals in 20 appearances this season, and a promotion could be imminent.
As a technically proficient midfielder who can play box-to-box and in deeper or more advanced situations, Serrano would be an interesting addition to the team.
