Southampton prepared for Kyle Walker-Peters transfer bids this month

Southampton are braced to receive Kyle Walker-Peters transfer bids this month, as the Saints full-back is within the last six months of his St Marys contract.

Kyle Walker-Peters is among Southampton’s finest players. Since joining Southampton from Tottenham Hotspur, the full-back has improved steadily.
Kyle Walker-Peters is a valuable asset to Southampton, as he can play on either side of the defence. However, as the old saying goes, everything good must come to an end. Unfortunately, this is especially true in Southampton.

Given that Kyle Walker-Peters’ contract expires at the end of the season, it’s highly likely that he’ll spend his last months at Southampton. Unfortunately, this could be his final month with the club.

Southampton prepared for Kyle Walker-Peters transfer bids this month

According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Southampton are expecting bids for Kyle Walker-Peters from both the Premier League and other countries. The Saints have one last shot to cash in on him.
O’Rourke stated, “Southampton are braced for cut-price bids for out-of-contract full-back Kyle Walker-Peters this month, sources have told Football Insider.”With Southampton facing a second Premier League relegation in three seasons, Walker-Peters is unlikely to renew his contract.

It would be wonderful if Kyle Walker-Peters signed a contract extension with Southampton. However, given KWP’s quality, this is an unrealistic expectation for the Saints.

He should not be in the Premier League’s bottom half, let alone the Championship for the second time in two seasons. As a result, while it will be a sad parting, he deserves to stretch his wings somewhere else.

According to the article, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City, and West Ham have already expressed interest in signing Walker-Peters. It remains to be seen whether either of those teams will make a bid during the January transfer window, but Southampton are thought to be expecting offers.

Southampton fans boldly stated that the club should consider selling Walker-Peters this month. Indeed, it is their last chance to cash in on Kyle Walker-Peters, and it would position the Saints well to invest in the team for the Championship. It will be disappointing to see Walker-Peters leave halfway through the season, but it is preferable than him leaving for free.
