Sky Sports Everton talks already held with other candidates as West Ham make progress in appointing Graham.
Sean Dyche’s employment at Everton is under significant threat as a result of their dismal recent form. The Toffees are coming off two consecutive defeats and face Peterborough United on Thursday. The Friedkin Group is now examining Sean Dyche’s status at Everton, who are dangerously close to relegation. Everton are in relegation trouble, having won only three of their 19 games. A change in manager could be exactly what the Toffees need, but it appears that they are on track to miss one of their aims.
Everton have approached Sean Dyche replacements
With Dyche failing to provide results, Everton have expressed interest in Graham Potter as a prospective replacement. However, the 49-year-old appears to be in line to succeed Julen Lopetegui at West Ham United. After sharing the news, Alan Myers revealed that Everton had sought other managers in addition to Potter. ‘Over the last few months, I believe we will have done, but don’t ask who,’ Myers told one Everton fan. Potter isn’t the only candidate on the Friedkins’ radar; Everton has also approached Max Allegri about potentially replacing Dyche. It would undoubtedly be an ambitious move on the part of the Toffees, but one that they have already accomplished under Carlo Ancelotti’s leadership.
Sean Dyche needs to find some Everton wins
The game on Thursday is an absolute must-win for the Toffees, with a defeat to League One strugglers Peterborough almost certainly signalling the end of Dyche’s tenure. The Friedkins are conducting an internal evaluation of Everton until March, during which Dyche is anticipated to be given time to prove himself. The Blues’ Premier League schedule, however, does not look much easier, with games against Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur coming up next week.
