Lewis Koumas has been a frequent starter for Stoke City on loan from Liverpool.
Liverpool are allegedly satisfied with Lewis Koumas’ loan term at Stoke City, despite reports that three Championship rivals would want to sign the teenager this month.
In his first season of regular men’s football, Koumas has made 29 appearances for Stoke, 22 of which are starts. He has scored four goals and set up two more under four different managers, including Ryan Shawcross’ caretaker role.
According to The Daily Mail, his form has piqued the curiosity of ‘long-term fans’ Sheffield United, West Bromwich Albion (where his father Jason is a club hero), and Watford.
But they add: “Despite Stoke’s struggles to stay out of the relegation zone and recently changing manager, appointing Mark Robins last week, Liverpool continue to be pleased with his progress and the experience he is gaining…” Stoke are hoping to keep him as they attempt to make a late run up the table.
Koumas’ time with Stoke has helped him advance his international career, with three more games for Wales in the Nations League. Wales assistant manager James Rowberry has joined Robins at the bet365 Stadium as his new assistant.
