After months of waiting, new England manager Thomas Tuchel finally touched down at St George’s Park on Monday afternoon.
The Three Lions boss officially started his new job on January 1st and has already been spotted attending a number of Premier League matches over the weekend.
With his squad selection for his first games in charge against Latvia and Albania in March fresh in the mind, the German has now begun settling in at his new role.
Tuchel checked in at St. George’s Park for the first time as England men’s senior head coach on Monday and was joined by goalkeeping coach Henrique Hilario, performance coach Nico Mayer and analyst James Melbourne.
The group embarked on an early-morning tour of St. George’s Park and its facilities – including the state-of-the-art gym and medical facilities – at both the football centre and hotel, according to the national team website.
On the tour, Tuchel encountered members of the recent FA Pro Licence group, including Ashley Cole, who is set to rejoin Lee Carsley with England’s under-21 team.
The German met more of his new colleagues at St. George’s Park before delivering a brief introductory speech, where he shared his vision for the future.
On Monday evening, Tuchel will head to Molineux to observe Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Nottingham Forest, marking his fourth match in just three days.
The new boss had been spotted at Tottenham’s clash with Newcastle, Brighton’s clash with Arsenal and Liverpool’s clash with Man United.
Prior to that, on Saturday morning, Tuchel headed to Spurs Lodge, where the England team frequently stays and trains before matches at Wembley.
Tuchel and his team will spend Tuesday and Wednesday at St. George’s Park for a series of meetings with the various departments based at the football centre.
This will include MU21s head coach and former senior interim head coach Carsley to reflect on the autumn matches, members of the performance and analysis department and also the team operations department, to discuss March’s fixtures with Albania and Latvia and the 2026 World Cup European qualification programme.
Tuchel was in attendance at Anfield as Liverpool faced Manchester United, where just four English players started the clash.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones started for Liverpool, with Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah named on the bench.
Meanwhile, Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo were named in United’s starting lineup, while youngster Toby Collyer was listed amongst the substitutes.
Meanwhile, Dominic Solanke, who has three caps for England, opened the scoring for Tottenham against Newcastle, with Anthony Gordon equalising for the visitors.
Other Englishmen who featured for Tottenham included Brandon Austin, Djed Spence, Archie Gray and James Maddison.
Meanwhile, Tino Livramento, Lewis Hall, Jacob Murphy, Harvey Barnes, Joe Willock, Sean Longstaff and Lloyd Kelly were all involved for Newcastle.
