According to reports, former Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui has been relieved of his responsibilities at West Ham prior to their FA Cup third-round matchup with Aston Villa on Friday.
The Hammers also play at Villa Park in the Premier League on Sunday, January 26.
The news comes following West Ham’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday. Graham Potter has reportedly been considered to replace Lopetegui, according to TalkSPORT.
West Ham suffered their ninth defeat of the season at the Etihad Stadium, dropping them to 14th position, tied with Manchester United. Jhon Duran scored the game-winning goal in the second half as they lost to Villa at home on the first weekend of the season.
Ahead of their upcoming Premier League matchup versus Villa, Everton is reportedly evaluating Sean Dyche’s role at the club, according to Sky Sports.
Just before Christmas, Farhad Moshiri, the former owner of Everton, was purchased out by the Friedkin Group. In their last 11 Premier League games, they have only won one and scored six goals, four of which came in their lone victory over Wolves, two of which were own goals by Wolves defender Craig Dawson. On Saturday, the Toffees suffered a 1-0 loss against Bournemouth.
