Several power outages have occurred in Reading in the last 24 hours, leaving dozens of homes without energy.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks report that the area’s first unscheduled power outage happened at 4:18 a.m. on Saturday, January 4.
Among the impacted postcodes is 12 in the Whitley, RG2 area.
There were reports of a power outage in one Whitley area at 4:18 a.m. yesterday and another at 22:33 p.m. on Saturday, January 4.
It is anticipated that electricity will be restored to impacted customers in the RG2 0ER, RG2 0EY, and RG2 0HA postcodes by 4 p.m.
Engineers are at both locations resolving the issue, and the 33 customers at RG2 0EL, RG2 0EN, RG2 0EP, RG2
0ER, RG2 0EU, RG2 0EX, RG2 0EY, and RG2 0NN should have power restored by 6pm. Nores Hill, which is close

“We are aware of a fault on our local network affecting several homes,” an SSEN spokeswoman stated. You may
notice that some of your neighbours have power when you do not, since this indicates that you and some of your
neighbours will be impacted by the power outage, but not all of them.
“One in three households is frequently impacted.”
