2025 NFL Draft Order: Race to No.1 pick goes down to the wire… but one team already blew it
In a span of seven days, the Giants went from having the inside track at getting the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to having no chance at it.

After coughing up the top spot with a surprise win over the Colts last Sunday, the Browns’ loss to the Ravens on Saturday ensured the Giants cannot pick No. 1 in this year’s draft.
It’s possible the Giants and Browns can both finish 3-14 and tie in strength of schedule, but Big Blue’s Week 3 win in Cleveland gives the Browns the tiebreaker.
And just like that, the Giants won’t have control of the draft as they enter 2025 desperately needing to find a solution at quarterback.
Another win against an Eagles team resting key players on Sunday and the Giants could drop to as low as No. 9.
But with a loss, the Giants would secure a top-four pick — and can jump to as high as No. 2, pending the results of other games.
The Patriots would lock up the No. 1 pick with a loss to the Bills, who are locked into the No. 2 seed. While New England isn’t expected to take a quarterback after drafting Drake Maye at No. 3 last year, they could trade the pick to a quarterback-needy team, or perhaps stay put and take wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter.
The Titans host the Texans, who are locked into the No. 4 seed. A Tennessee loss would mean they would pick ahead of the Giants.
