Aston Villa winger Lewis Dobbin has joined Norwich City on loan for the remainder of the season.
Norwich City have recruited Lewis Dobbin on loan from Aston Villa, and he could make his debut against Coventry City. The 21-year-old has signed with Norwich till the end of the season, just a few days after leaving West Brom.
Dobbin, who joined Villa for £10 million from Everton in the summer, made only 18 appearances for the Baggies in the first half of the season, including just one Championship start. He’s looking for better at Carrow Road.
Dobbin told the club website, “It’s a great opportunity, and I’m excited. I didn’t get the first four months that I wanted this season, so I’m ready to impress.
“The head coach has been really welcoming, he’s got a clear vision for me. Hopefully, we’ll have some success this season.”
Norwich’s sporting director, Ben Knapper, said, “We’re really pleased to add Lewis to our group and excited to work with him for the rest of the season.”
“He provides tremendous pace to our attack and can play in all front-line positions, giving us more options for how we can set up.
“We’re all really looking forward to working with him in what will hopefully be a strong second half of the season for us all.”
