Regis Le Bris believes the transfer interest in young Sunderland stars like Jobe Bellingham and Anthony Patterson is “good news”.
According to the Daily Mail, Bellingham, who joined Sunderland for a reported £1.5 million deal last summer, is poised for great success. He recently signed a new contract with Sunderland, extending his stay until 2028.
Bellingham has been one of Sunderland’s star performers this season, and the teenager is now one of the most sought-after players in the Championship. Brentford made an unsuccessful approach for the 19-year-old in the summer, while Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid are also apparently interested in the Sunderland player. Tottenham Hotspur are also apparently interested, according to The Sunderland Echo.
Patterson was one of Sunderland’s heroes on New Year’s Day, saving Kieffer Moore’s penalty and securing a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United. Several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and Arsenal, have shown interest in the shot-stopper this season.
According to Alan Nixon’s Patreon, Wolves’ goalkeeping status is likely to change. This might lead to the departure of one of their shot-stoppers, allowing Wolves to pursue Sunderland’s Patterson, a player they have long coveted.
