“It was definitely not our best game today, I think you could feel that,” he reflected. “The lads looked a bit tired in the first half, we had problems to create chances and moved the ball a bit too slow.

“We didn’t create many chances in the first half. Credit to Blackburn, their goal was well structured and they defended well.
“It is always difficult when they have to concentrate on defending, and that is what they did. We tried to change the momentum with a few changes and later on, instead of our fluent football we went for crosses, crowding the box, two strikers and a bit more steel.
“I like that we didn’t allow any counter attacks and forced the penalty situation to go fully deserved in the lead.
“The rest is just football. One team just concentrating on defending, you try to open them, score and then one corner kick can change everything again.
“I think we could have defended the channel better, it was unnecessary to give the corner away and then second phase, deflected ball, the ball goes in. More or less their only chance in the game.”
Leeds remain top of the table and have now gone seven games unbeaten in the league since their last defeat at Ewood Park.
“Sometimes when you have such a difficult period – in terms of workload because you have so many games – and the opponent defends as well as Blackburn today… I feel for (the players). They didn’t get the three points due to an unlucky equaliser,” Farke added.
“We feel a bit disappointed but we know that we can’t win all the games. We want to win them all, of course, but we will take the point and move on.”
