Colchester United were beaten at Swindon Town in League Two

George Cox’s penalty in stoppage time condemned the U’s to defeat following an exciting game at the County Ground.
After Swindon’s early goal from Ollie Clarke, Colchester took control thanks to two penalty kicks from Jack Payne.

However, Cox scored from the penalty spot to win it for the home team after substitute Aaron Drinan came off the bench to give Ian Holloway’s team a late level.

Colchester’s 11-game winning streak came to an end as a result, and they now sit 16th in League Two.

After suffering a heartbreaking loss against Swindon, these are the U’s player ratings.

MATT MACEY 7

Made two good first-half saves from Clarke and also from Smith and was pretty helpless for Swindon goals

MANDELA EGBO 6

Will be disappointed with the manner of Swindon’s equalising goal scored by Drinan

TOM FLANAGAN 6

U’s skipper was adjudged to have handled in the box to concede late penalty

AARON DONNELLY 7

Was pretty assured at the back but was still part of a side that conceded three times to lose
