Bescot Stadium live as station closed after ‘assault’ leaves woman with ‘life-threatening injuries’
After the incident at the Bescot Stadium train station, an 18-year-old guy has been taken into custody on suspicion of attempting to kill someone.
‘Life-threatening injuries’ were sustained by a woman during a’serious’ assault at a Black Country train station.
Trains will not be stopping at Bescot Stadium Station ‘until further notice’ as a result, passengers have been warned.
Emergency services were summoned to the site at around 11.25pm on Sunday, October 20, with the woman being
transported to hospital for further emergency care. An 18-year-old male has been taken into custody on suspicion of
attempting to kill someone.
Officers from British Transport Police and West Midlands Police remained on the scene on Monday morning
(October 21). The station has been closed as investigations continue.
National Rail said rail replacement coaches would operate between Tame Bridge Parkway and Walsall. Passengers
were also advised to “plan ahead” by West Midlands Transport, which stated that “Trains will not call at Bescot
Stadium until further notice.”

Police remain at the scene
Police remained at Bescott Stadium railway station this morning following a ‘serious’ assault.
Several police vehicles were parked at the station car park, with officers also guarding the scene.
