Even better than Aaronson: Leeds in mix to sign “energetic” £45k-p/w star

Leeds United defeated Derby County 1-0 on Sunday at Pride Park, securing the top spot in the Championship standings at the conclusion of 2024. The intense competition at the top of the division is demonstrated by the Whites’ two-point lead over Sheffield United in second place and their three-point lead over Burnley in third.

To avoid falling into the play-offs like they did the previous season, Daniel Farke’s team will need to maintain consistency in the second half of the 2024–25 season. After finishing third in the regular season, the West Yorkshire team lost 1-0 to Southampton in the May play-off final at Wembley, therefore failing to earn automatic promotion.

This time, Leeds will be hoping for a better result, and they may add players to their roster during the forthcoming January transfer window to increase their chances of getting promoted. It’s interesting to note that the Whites are apparently hoping to sign a player who is currently with one of the teams vying for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
