Another former Leeds United midfielder could join Kalvin Phillips at Ipswich Town, Southampton also keen
The trajectory of Kalvin Phillips has been somewhat of a roller coaster since he left Leeds United for Manchester City in 2022. During that time, he has experienced both highs and lows. But lately, there have mostly been low points. After a terrible stint on loan at West Ham in the second half of last season, the 29-year-old is currently on loan at Ipswich Town, where he has only made ten appearances in the Premier League this season.
Phillips has been linked to Leeds United again, but it appears the Whites would need to play in the Premier League in order to have any chance of re-signing the England international. Glen Kamara, a former Leeds player, may be about to join the Tractor Boys as he fights to maintain Ipswich Town in the Premier League after their unexpected promotion last time.
Glen Kamara could seal Premier League switch with Ipswich Town linked
Kamara left Elland Road last summer following just one season in West Yorkshire, and it was recently announced that Sunderland is monitoring her. After spending about £5 million to join from Rangers, Kamara, 29, played 40 games in the Championship before moving to Rennes, where he has since played 13 games in Ligue 1.
However, TBR now claims that Southampton and Ipswich Town, both in the Premier League, are interested in signing Kamara during the January transfer season.
