According to DOOD on X [29 December], Albion are in negotiations with former Stoke City manager Schumacher and Swansea City manager Luke Williams about succeeding Carlos Corberan. Schumacher, 40, was fired by Stoke City in September after previously serving as manager of Plymouth Argyle in the Championship from 2021-2023. According to Oddschecker, his odds with BetVictor have substantially cut to 4/1, making him the second-favourite for the position, trailing Liverpool backroom coach John Heitinga (2/1).
