“They should’ve sacked him sooner” – Southampton old boy thinks club is doomed, been run into ground

With only six points from their 18 games this season, Southampton is currently mired at the bottom of the Premier League standings.

Ivan Jurić was just hired with the lofty goal of attempting to keep the team from being relegated to the Championship, but many believe that is unlikely considering the Saints’ current predicament.

Ivan Golac played for Southampton twice. He first played for the team from 1978 to 1983. After a temporary, permanent move to Belasica, he returned and remained there until 1986.

Speaking to the Croatian newspaper Večernji List ahead of Southampton’s game against Crystal Palace on Sunday, Golac expressed his deep worries for his old team. With just six points from their 18 games this season, Southampton is currently at the bottom of the Premier League table. Ivan Jurić was recently brought in with the lofty goal of trying to keep the team from being relegated to the Championship, but many believe that is impossible given the circumstances the Saints are in.
