Spurs target unreal Dragusin upgrade in “incredible” £29m superstar

Tottenham Hotspur have had a terrible season.

The club’s upcoming League Cup semi-final is keeping it from being a complete disaster.

Angel Posetcoglou’s Premier League team has struggled due to an injury issue in the back. While the manager has some responsibility, the team’s performance has been poor.

Recent sources suggest that the club may be looking for a replacement for Radu Dragusin, which might address the manager’s main issue.

Tottenham is among 11 clubs interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s Milan Skriniar, according to Caught Offside.

Along with the Lilywhites, Napoli, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Roma, and Atlético Madrid are reportedly interested in the veteran defender.

While this level of outside interest is far from ideal for the North Londoners, the good news is that he may not cost an arm and a leg to sign, as the story has revealed that PSG will make him available for around €35 million – £29 million – next month, and may be willing to go as low as €25 million – £21 million – in negotiations.

Overall, it could be an extremely hard move to get over the line, but considering Skriniar’s ability and experience, it’s one worth pursuing, especially since he’d be an upgrade over Dragusin and help solve Ange’s

So, of all the challenges Postecoglou has encountered at Spurs this season, the defensive injury crisis has been the most serious.

Due to injuries to Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, and Ben Davies, Archie Gray and Dragusin have formed a shaky center-back partnership. The latter is now expected to miss some time as well.

So, by buying a new defender, the club will address, and hopefully resolve, the Australian’s most pressing issue this season.

Furthermore, if the centre-back they sign is Skriniar, Dragusin will slide further down the pecking order, as he has had some good performances but also some bad ones.

For example, he received a red card on his European debut for the club, gave Victor Osimhen a goal against Galatasaray, and appeared completely lost against Rangers.

However, the “incredible” PSG treasure, as described by journalist Jerry Mancini, would be a wonderful addition to the squad in his own right, not merely as an upgrade over the Romanian.

He has extensive experience, having made 246 appearances for Inter Milan and won league titles in Italy and France, as well as 77 appearances for Slovakia.

In addition to his physical strength, he excels with the ball at his feet. According to FBref, which compares players in similar positions across Europe’s top five leagues, he ranks among the top 1% of center-backs in terms of passes attempted and completed per 90.

Spurs are in severe need of new defenders, since their starting centre-backs appear to be prone to injury, and their substitutes aren’t up to the task.

As a result, the North Londoners should do everything they can to sign Skriniar next month, as he would be the ideal solution to their problem.
