LEINSTER’S modern-day dominance over Munster continued at a sold out Thomond Park on Friday as the visitors cruised to a 27-8 URC victory.
Munster have not won in Limerick since December 2018.
Leinster led 14-0 at the break, but an early try in the second half from Tom Ahern, converted by Billy Burns, threatened to bring the game back to life, only for Leo Cullen’s side to kick on again, with Josh van der Flier crossing for a try soon after, converted by man-of-the-match Sam Prendergast.
Caelan Doris’ late try (with Ross Byrne adding the extras) won Leinster the bonus point.
Munster’s next Champions Cup match will be at home against Saracens on Saturday, January 11.
