‘He cannot go to the ball!’ – Ruben Amorim defends Andre Onana after Man Utd goalkeeper concedes directly from a corner AGAIN in Wolves defeat.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has backed Andre Onana after he conceded another goal from a corner. What happened? Onana conceded directly from a corner kick as United lost 2-0 against Wolves on Sunday. Surprisingly, the custodian also conceded an Olimpico against Tottenham in a 4-3 Carabao Cup quarter-final loss, but manager Amorim maintains he was obstructed and unable to reach the ball at Molineux. United were level with Molineux before Bruno Fernandes was sent off. Cunha scored from the corner, and Hwang Hee-Chan sealed the victory in injury time. United have now lost four of their last five games and are 14th in the Premier League.

  • WHAT AMORIM SAID

When questioned if Onana was fouled, Amorim said, “I don’t think he can get to the ball. He’s attempting to reach the ball, and some players aren’t even looking at it, but I don’t want to dwell on it. I think the good news is that we were close to the goal despite having only 10 men. That’s fantastic, but we lost.”
