According to RTI Esporte (via MD), Fluminense rejected Atleti’s summertime offer of €10 million for Arias. Despite this rejection, they had maintained their interest, albeit it is now said that they had moved on.
This is because, even though Fluminense’s contract expires in 2026, Atleti does not think the Colombian attacker will reduce their asking price. Therefore, it has been decided to terminate their stake.
