Exclusive: Everton now ready to offer £30m player a lifetime contract to fend off Barcelona and Chelsea

Everton are preparing a one-of-a-kind offer for Jordan Pickford in order to fend off interest from Barcelona, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.

The England international is currently in excellent form at Goodison Park, keeping five clean sheets in his previous six Premier League games to help Everton climb to 15th.

Two of those clean sheets have come against Arsenal and Chelsea, with the Everton No.1 stepping up for Sean Dyche as the Friedkin Group succeeds Farhad Moshiri and ushers in a new era.

Dan Friedkin is eager to make some early moves to win over the Goodison Park faithful, with Everton eager to sign Jarrad Branthwaite to a new contract, despite the England international’s refusal to commit.

The Toffees are also looking to sign Jordan Pickford to a new contract, and TBR Football’s Chief Correspondent Graeme Bailey has revealed more information regarding Everton’s plans.

Everton is ready to lock down Jordan Pickford for the rest of his career

TBR Football has learnt that Everton are now interested in offering the 30-year-old a contract that will keep him at Goodison Park until he retires.

According to sources, Pickford, unlike Branthwaite, might be persuaded to sign a contract, with Everton eager to offer him a deal that runs until at least 2030, with the option to extend it further.

The man from Wearside currently has a contract that will expire in June 2027. Pickford, a £30 million transfer from Sunderland in June 2017, has piqued the interest of Chelsea, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich as a result of his outstanding performances for Everton.

However, the Toffees are determined to prevent him from becoming a realistic signing for either of these clubs, and they believe they can persuade the glovesman to stay at Goodison Park for the rest of his career.

What Jordan Pickford stated after he signed his final deal in February 2023

You can see why Everton feels bullish about keeping Pickford, who may have conceded a penalty against Chelsea, for the rest of his career – based on statements made by the custodian while signing his most recent deal.

In February 2023, he stated, “It’s massive to sign this new contract at such a special club for me.”

“The support I’ve had from everyone at the club when I started as a 22-year-old has been invaluable to my family and me. My family and I are pleased here. We enjoy it at Everton.

“This contract will take me to more than ten years at Everton and I want to build a legacy here to put myself up there with the likes of Neville Southall to be one of the best keepers to have played for Everton.”
